Shame, another bee colony is gone. Each time I learn that a swarm in the house or a hive on a tree has been sighted, immediately removed and destroyed by the pest control company, I seem to lose that last figment of my imagination about keeping bees in Singapore. Then in the recent years, I saw another, yet another uplifting example of urban beekeeping in modern cities (like Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York) and the mushrooming of wildlife sanctuaries all over the world.
