Keeping Bees in Singapore

Shame, another bee colony is gone. Each time I learn that a swarm in the house or a hive on a tree has been sighted, immediately removed and destroyed by the pest control company, I seem to lose that last figment of my imagination about keeping bees in Singapore. Then in the recent years, I saw another, yet another uplifting example of urban beekeeping in modern cities (like Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York) and the mushrooming of wildlife sanctuaries all over the world. They gave me a glimmer of hope for where I live and kindled a desire to do the same.
